After 7 years of running and updating the site, I decided the time has come to move on. Due to work, school, and health, I lack the motivation to work on the site any longer.
There's also changes coming to the island that have made me feel disillusioned and I feel as if my site has no place any longer. I feel my mission conflicts with those of the NPS and FoP. I do not like the commercializing that has started up, and feel it takes away from the natural beauty and the nostalgia the village has always held for me.
Will I still visit the island? Hard to say, there's days I feel great, and days I feel like I am burning the candle at both ends and in the middle.
To my loyal site visitors, I thank you for your support over the years. You were the reason I kept the site up year after year through every hardship, but now it's all just been too much on me.
The domain is for sale, if anyone would like to take the site over. We could negotiate a fair agreement. |
